INFORMATION ON THE GREAT EAST JAPAN EARTHQUAKE

 

On Friday, March 11, at 2:46 pm Japan Standard Time, an estimated magnitude 9.0 earthquake occurred offshore in the Sanriku region of Miyagi Prefecture. Widespread damage is being reported, mainly in the Tohoku region.

The Japanese government is doing everything it can to address the disaster quickly and effectively.
